The results of class 10 of 2017 have been delayed greatly owing to the state election. The exams too had started late on 9th March which let to delayed process of results’ announcement. According to the latest notification by News Nation, the CBSE class 10 results will be announced by 20th May or by the end of May. It will not be dragged to delay further until June but the students will have a clear picture about their class 10 results by the end of May.

CDS 2017 (1 & 2): Admit Card, Exam Dates, Result

The Union Public Service Commission conducts the Combined Defence Services- CDS examination twice a year for recruitment into the Armed Forces. Notification has been released for CDS 1 exam on November 9, 2016 and December 2, 2016 was the last date to receive the application form. For CDS 2 exam, notification will be released on August 9, 2017 and deadline to receive the application form is September 8, 2017. The examination date for CDS 1 exam is scheduled to be on February 5, 2017 and the results will be declared in the month of May 2017. The date of examination for CDS 2 has been scheduled on November 19, 2017 and the results will be declared tentatively in 3 months.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to apply for the combined defence services exam, candidates should be at least 19 years of age. The upper age limit differs for Air Force Academy- 23 years, Indian Military- 24 years, Officers Training Academy- 25 years and Naval Academy- 22 years. The educational qualification criteria will vary as per the post applied by the candidate. Candidates must also either be a citizen of India or subject of Nepal/ Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who has migrated to India before January 01, 1962 with an intention to settle permanently in India.

How to Apply

To apply, candidates will have to apply online for CDS 2017 through the official website of UPSC. The application form is divided into 2 parts- Part 1 and Part 2. Part 1 requires aspirants to fill up all personal and educational details while Part 2 will require aspirants to pay the application fee and attach their scanned photograph and signature. The application fee is Rs. 200 which has to be paid to complete the online application form. The fee payment can be done in cash or through net banking or through Visa/ master debit/ credit card.

Job Details

There are a total vacancy of 320 for the post of Junior Intelligence Officer with a pay scale of Rs. 5200- 20200/- and grade pay Rs. 2400/-. The selection is based on written test and trade test.

Written Test Pattern

The written test will have 2 papers:

Paper 1: Objective type multiple choice test on general studies, reasoning, science, etc.

Paper 2: Descriptive paper for 80 marks each.

Trade Test Pattern

The trade test would be technical and practical based related to the job profile for 40 marks.

Important Dates

The online registration starts from 3rd September and last date to submit the form is 24th September.
